Olive oil: a natural beauty ally
Simple, natural beauty and cheap remedy is olive oil, protagonist of the Italian kitchen and the table, but also an ideal product to use in cosmetics. It can be used on facial skin – especially on dry and delicate skin – and as a makeup remover: you only need a few drops on a diskette or a cotton ball to remove traces of makeup. After well-cleansed your face, you pass a floppy disk with a few drops of oil on the face. It gently massages the entire face softened by the oil. Finally rinse with a mild soap and warm water. Olive oil is also an excellent ingredient for facial masks: here are two simple recipes to make at home.
nourishing and soothing mask for dry or normal skin: 2 teaspoons of olive oil, half a teaspoon of honey and two teaspoons of yogurt; you mix everything and spreads on the face for 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water.
purifying mask for combination skin, blemished and oily: a scant teaspoon of oil, the same amount of honey, two teaspoons of white clay (possibly to mix add a teaspoon of warm water and a quarter of a teaspoon of fresh lemon juice); It mixes everything and stretches on for 15 minutes.
